HELLHORSE: ''Paradise Lost'' EP Release Info

Boston, Massachusetts-based Hardcore outfit HELLHORSE has announced the upcoming release of their 2nd EP, “Paradise Lost”, which will be unleashed on the world through Creator-Destructor Records in October. The record's first single, “Undertow”, is now playing in conjunction with the release of preorders, tour dates, and more. You can stream the single HERE.

Over the years since inception, HELLHORSE has honed their special craft of crushing chaotic Metalcore/D-Beat crossover, reminiscent of the early-2000s stylings of BOTCH, CONVERGE, and POISON THE WELL.

The six-song “Paradise Lost” EP is HELLHORSE's Creator-Destructor debut, and the follow-up to the band's “Old Dystopia” EP, which the band self-released in 2018. “Paradise Lost” was recorded in spring of 2019 at Labyrinth Audio in Peabody, Massachusetts, engineered by Kevin Gentile and Nick Twohig. Mixing duties were handled by Sonny DiPerri, and the album was mastered by Adam Gonsalves at Telegraph Mastering. The band went with Chris Smith for the album artwork and layout, who also handled the “Old Dystopia” art.

Creator-Destructor will release “Paradise Lost” on all digital platforms and 12" vinyl EP with two color variants on October 04th. Find preorder options including merch bundles at the label webshop HERE and Bandcamp HERE. HELLHORSE has also released a run of tour dates surrounding the release of the EP. An East Coast tour runs from September 13th through 21st running from Connecticut south through Florida and back, with several one-off shows and more to follow.

Watch for official videos, additional audio previews, and more to be issued as the EP nears release.

On how “Paradise Lost” is an evolution from the band's previous EP, drummer Nick Angelo states, “Old Dystopia” was a puzzle pieced together over two-plus years with various people and much turbulence. “Paradise Lost” was created in one room over the fall and winter of 2018-2019 with a driven group of core members. Stems from Brian O'Rourke were molded and swirled collectively which produced “Paradise Lost”. It tries to step outside the Hardcore/Metal genre. We had a wider range of influences during this writing process in hopes of carving out a more unique sound”.
