With “Never A Prophet In Your Own Land”, CLOVEN HOOF enter another powerful chapter, delivering a rich and varied Heavy Metal album driven by organic songwriting, classic instincts, and Harry Conklin’s commanding voice. METAL KAOZ connected with Lee Payne to discuss the secret behind writing Metal hits, why he never changes the band’s sound, and how ‘The Tyrant’ unlocked a new level of power. From Ritchie Blackmore inspirations to the Press turning against Metal, Lee speaks truthfully about legacy, conviction, and songs that refuse to die.
NWOBHM legends CLOVEN HOOF will release their tenth full-length studio album “Never A Prophet In Your Own Land” on September 25 via High Roller Records. Watch the entire discussion with Lee Payne below.
