With “Lay Me Down O Silent Fear”, LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE push their Gothcore vision furtner, blending Gothic melancholy, Metalcore intensity, and emotional darkness into one of their most ambitious chapters yet. METAL KAOZ connected with Julian Larre to discuss the meaning behind tracks like “Veil XV”, the danger of constantly numbing ourselves, and why solitude became necessary after leaving Mexico for Finland. From the most honest “How are you?” you have ever heard to the shift from live adrenaline back to normal life, Julian reflects on human connection, truth, and facing the darkest parts of yourself.
Gothic metallers LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE will release their new album “Lay Me Down O Silent Fear” on September 25 via Steamhammer. Watch the entire chat with Julian Larre below.
